Hornby R3161B : 2-Bil Electric 2-car multiple unit: SR Maunsell olive green (lined out) DIGITAL: 2147
Southern Railway designed 2-Bil electric units first built in 1935. 152 subesquently built for use on local services until 1969 throughout the Southern Region electrified network.
Each unit contains a Driving Motor Brake 3rd class coach (powered) and Driving Trailer Composite Coach (non powered), each with toilet accommodation (hence "2-Bil" - "2-coach; Bi-Lavatory").
This unit is in standard Southern Railways Maunsell (olive) green livery lined out in gold.
The unit is numbered 2147; the coach numbers are 10713 and 12180. (Note - photograph shows identically liveried unit but with different carriage numbers)
R3161B Supplied as analogue train, ready for a single DCC (8pin) decoder to be fitted for digital operation. (ie DCC Ready)
