Additional information

This loco was the prototype for what became known as the Class 55 "Deltics".  After use on the West Coast Main Line to Liverpool, it saw some use on the East Coast Main Line to Edinburgh before being preserved in the London Science Museum, and subsequently the National Railway Museum.  It is this condition that this model represents.
