The Taurus series of Electric locomotivesare multi-purpose universal locomotives based on the Siemens Euro-sprinter design. first rolled out from the Munich factory in 2005, since 2006 they have been used on cross-border traffic. To mark the 200th Anniversay of the Death of composer Haydn in 2009, Taurus 1047 504-4 was decorated on one side with a portrait of the composer with his cello, whilst the other side commemorated his activities in Burgenland as a court musician at the Esterhazy family.

DCC Decoder Installation:
This model is designed for DC (analogue) operation but is fitted with a 6-pin NEM651 socket so can easily converted to DCC (Digital) use if required.
