The  DRG Class ET 91 of the former German State Railway are electric powered railcars. Also known as "The Glass train"  vehicles had axle arrangement Bo'2'and were complete with glazed roof, giving passengers a special all-round view. They were only used for excursions and trips, especially in southern Germany and Austria. Two locomotives were built in 1935 at the wagon works Fuchs in Heidelberg ( mechanical parts) and AEG (electric parts). The ET  91.02 was destroyed in March 1943 in a bomb attack on the Munich depot. The ET 91 01  was retored to working condition in 1949.  

Electric railcar 491 001-4 "Gläserner Zug" ("Glass Train") of the Deutsche Bundesbahn in "olympic-blue" livery. Model train passenger figures are included in the package. Two pantographs.

Drive on two axes. Two traction tyres.

Triple LED headlight and red tail end illumination that change with the direction of travel. Built-in interior lighting as standard.


 

DCC Operation

This model is designed for DC (analogue) operation and is NOT fitted suitable for conversion to DCC Operation.
